What are Shmoints?
Shmoints are kind of like frequent flyer miles for Shmoop users. You can earn Shmoints by doing quizzes and homework on Shmoop.
So How Do I Score Shmoints?
Rack up Shmoints! You can do this a few ways:
- Logging In. Check out the top right corner of any Shmoop page. Yep, pretty simple.

Take our NEW Literature quizzes. Flex those bulging brain muscles. 100s of quizzes have been added to all of our Shmoop Literature Guides. Here are a few:
- Green Circle: The Outsiders Quizzes
- Blue Square: Great Gatsby Quizzes
- Black Diamond: Ulysses Quizzes
- Sign up for any of our Test Prep courses (Given that any of these courses has hundreds of Shmoint-bearing questions, they are virtual gold mines):
- Explore! There are a few secret ways to get Shmoints. Make sure to watch out for Robeefalo as you meander around Shmoop. We wouldn’t want to make it too easy.
